The annual Czech film festival titled Czech That Film has been established in 2012. Currently, it is the largest Czech cultural event in the United States. It is a film festival of best recent Czech films held throughout the United States every year, with a range of screenings and discussion with cast and crew. The four-month-long festival keeps growing every year. Its sixth edition will reach 15 major US and Canadian cities (Los Angeles, San Francisco, Salt Lake City, Austin, Washington, Denver, Dallas, Atlanta, New York City, Little Rock, Portland, Minneapolis, Chicago, San Diego, Seattle, Toronto). Films to be screened:

The movie trilogy Garden Store consists of three separate films taking place against the backdrop of the most dramatic periods of the last century. It tells the story of three families: a family of an air radio operator, a family of a hair salon owner, and a family of a garden store owner.

All three movies will be introduced by the Oscar-nominated director Jan Hrebejk, and there will be a moderated discussion following the second movie. All movies are in Czech with English subtitles.

Screening schedule:
10:00 AM to Family Friend (Folllowed by a lunch break)
1:30 PM to Deserter (Followed by a discussion with the Oscar-nominated director Jan Hrebejk)
4:30 PM to Suitor (Followed by announcement of the silent auction winners and opportunities for pictures and authographs)

A silent auction benefiting The Czech School San Diego will be held during the day. Items will include autographed DVDs of Jan Hrebejk's movies, experience packages, and other items.
