This concert is a collaboration between two new partners: Sharon Katz & The Peace Train from South Africa, and Promotora de las Bellas Artes of Tijuana. Both organizations began in 1992 and have worked tirelessly ever since to bring children together to sing together in harmony. They work in schools and orphanages across Tijuana. Sharon Katz founded The Peace Train to heal the divides created by the Apartheid regime and help prepare youth to live together in a new South Africa; and Alida Guajardos founded Promotora in Tijuana, Mexico in a city where many children still live in poverty, to give children more opportunities to expand their life experiences. Cuban choral conductor Daria Abreu Feraud and Sharon Katz are working side by side to train over one thousand children to sing and dance together.
