San Diego

Choros das 3 returns to San Diego! Choro (pronounced SHOH-roh) music emerged in 19th century Brazil. Employing syncopation and counterpoint it is a very lively music that is fanciful and fun. The word ""Choro"" means ""cry"" or ""lament"", but Choro music is delightfully upbeat.

Choro das 3 is a family-based band composed by three sisters: Corina (flutes), Lia (7 string acoustic guitar) and Elisa (mandolin, clarinet, banjo and piano) and their father Eduardo (pandeiro). They are both charming and astonishingly talented.

The band has performed in concerts and workshops all over Brazil, USA, Mexico and France.

This concert will be OUTSIDE, please dress accordingly.

Come join us at 6:00 PM for a pre-concert reception.
