Soaring Eagles Pow Wow Dance Class

The San Diego American Indian Health Youth Center will host the first Soaring Eagles Pow Wow Dance Class and Community Night at the Balboa Park Club Santa Fe Room. Dance classes will be held twice a month on the second and last Thursday of each month. The Soaring Eagles Dance Class provides a unique cultural learning environment for American Indian youth, grades K-12, to learn about common pow-wow dancing styles and cultural practices, including how to design and make tribal regalia with the opportunity to participate in local San Diego County gatherings and pow wows. The Community Night will feature guest speakers on various topics, including how to improve and make the urban Native community stronger. Participants are encouraged to bring their favorite side dish to each dance class to share with others.
