Long live Frida - Viva Frida art show just in time for Dia de los Muertes celebrates the fabulous artist life of Frida Kahlo. San Diego artist June Rubin reinterprets her painting Frida Contemplating Death in her acrylic painting to Frida Contemplating Life with a small sprout growing within the circle on her forehead instead of the original skull and cross bones. Other artworks include a fantastical Frida herself transformed into a white Mad Cat with huge whiskers and her distinctive black and red unibrow.
