Join us and Bryan H. Wildenthal for a friendly and fascinating journey into the authorship question. More than 400 years after Shakespeare's time, and more than 150 years after modern alternative authorship theories began running riot in the mid-19th century, what do we really know for sure? Did William Shakespeare of Stratford-upon-Avon work with numerous co-authors, most of them uncredited at the time, as most mainstream scholars now argue? Is the case for his primary authorship really as airtight as most mainstream scholars claim? Why have some of the greatest writers, artists, intellectuals, and judicial and political leaders of modern times doubted that traditional story? Was Shakespeare of Stratford a front-man for a hidden aristocratic author? What did Ben Jonson know, and slyly hint at? What can the ""Shakespeare"" plays and poems themselves tell us about this issue? In his new book, ""Early Shakespeare Authorship Doubts"", Bryan subjects both the traditional story and the various skeptical theories to careful scrutiny.
