Forro {fo-haw} is a lively and fun dance from Brazil. It is very popular in Brazil and is growing fans from around the world as the dance dynamically mixes both close and open embrace, legwork, as well as turns. In this class you'll learn the basic forro rhythm, footwork, and some turns.
Class is $10 per person and runs from 6:30PM to 7PM. No partner needed and be sure to wear clothes and shoes you can move in. When you book, just show up about 5-10 minutes before the start of class and let the host know you are on the list for Art of Forro! And don't forget to stay afterwards and dance the night away at Forro Forever with Cajuina! No forro dancing experience required, just the desire to have fun! Show is FREE and starts at 7PM.
*Forro Instructors Luiz + Zvinka*Luiz, born and raised in Brazil, has been a fan of forro since he was a little boy. Zvinka was born and raised in Chile. She has embraced Brazilian culture, especially the dance of Forro. Luiz and Zvinka have been part of the 'Forro in San Diego' community since its inception. Their passion is not only to dance forro, but to teach the art of forro for all to learn and enjoy.
