The 40-member New City Sinfonia, led by Daniel Ratelle, presents ""Inspiring Cities,"" a concert featuring Franz Joseph Haydn's Symphony No. 99, written for one of his successful trips to London, the Serenade in F Minor, Op. 3 by Leo Weiner, written for the Franz Liszt Music Academy in Budapest, Mihkail Glinka's Overture to Prince Kholmsky, from incidental music for a play in the composer's beloved St. Petersburg, and Symphonic Suite in G, by San Diego composer Steven Thompson. The Sinfonia is a part of the San Diego Continuing Education program.
