San Diego

San Diego REP's Herbert Siguenza (""Bad Hombres/Good Wives"", ""Manifest Destinitis"" and ""A Weekend with Pablo Picasso"") has adapted Charles Dickens' ""A Christmas Carol"". The play is an unapologetic appreciation of the Cuban Socialist Revolution set before, during and after the 1959 populist government takeover by Fidel Castro. Ezequiel Scrooge is an American sugar baron who is haunted by Cuba's turbulent history of slavery, colonialism and American imperialism.

Beautiful Cuban Christmas music will be performed by The Irving Flores Quartet featuring vocals by Diana Vega!
