Author and speaker Fanny Krasner Lebovits shares her story of loss, resilience and survival during the Holocaust.
Born in Liepaja, Latvia Lebovits was nineteen when Nazis invaded her town. She survived five concentration camps and went on to become a nurse with the United Nations.
She wrote her memoir ""Memories, Miracles, and Meaning: Insights of a Holocaust Survivor"" at age 95. Now 96, she resides in La Jolla, California and is an active public speaker and community advocate.
Fanny Krasner Lebovits will be sharing her personal story and insights at New Americans Museum on Jan. 26, 2020 to commemorate International Holocaust Remembrance Day and as part of an ongoing speaker series Voices of Hope: Survivors of the Holocaust Share their Stories, happening quarterly through out 2020 as part of a collaboration between New Americans Museum and The Butterfly Project.
