USD Mariachi Professional Showcase Grand Finale

The USD Music Department presents a 3 concert Mariachi Showcase. Thursday evening the violinist Sergio Caratachea (of Mariachi Internacional Guadalajara) and his friends will perform. On Friday This concert features the USD Mariachi Ensemble (aka Mariachi Toreros de USD) directed by Serafin Paredes and the best high school mariachi ensembles in the Southland and nationwide, competing to perform in the Professional Mariachi Showcase scheduled the following evening on March 9th. Friday night's concert features the USD Mariachi Ensemble (aka Mariachi Toreros de USD) directed by Serafin Paredes and the best high school mariachi ensembles in the Southland and nationwide. Saturday evening is the grand finale concert featuring the phenomenal mariachi masters Mariachi Los Reyes and the winning ensembles from high schools selected from the showcase on March 8th.
