Sister Cities Society and the House of Mexico invite you to the Cervantes Festival in Balboa Park. Miguel de Cervantes was born in our sister city, Alcalá de Henares and is the author of the immortal novel, Don Quijote de La Mancha.
Instructors, students and community members meet in Balboa Park for a public reading of Don Quijote. In addition to the reading, we offer paella for purchase, Spanish music, dance and song and many activities for children. It is our way to celebrate our sister city and Spanish culture.
