Discover the fine detailing and craftsmanship of Kouta Shimazaki's pottery in an exclusive trunk show.
From the artist:
I began working with clay when I was 20 years old at a community college in southern California shortly after arriving in the U.S. Clay has kept me company when I am home sick and lonely. Clay has provided firm discipline when I needed it, and now clay holds my little family together - my wife and son. It also connects me to my great-grandfather, who I discovered recently was an established craftsman who worked with copper, wood and clay in Japan. Clay gives me so much in life. Clay offers me so many wonderful people to meet. Clay gives me a future to look forward to. Clay is my life.
