Anju began performing Japanese folk songs at the young age of two and a half. She trained under the guidance of her mother, Madoka Shouju, the current head of the Madoka no Kai, a traditional folk song school. Inspired by a street performance tour in Australia, Anju now focuses on sharing her music with an international audience.
