Join us in celebrating Nowruz, the Persian New Year, with a day of art, music, dance, and community at the California Center for the Arts Museum, presented in collaboration with Persian Place.
Experience live musicians and dancers, explore the Nowruz Bazaar featuring local artisans, and enjoy Persian food in the Museum Courtyard. Engage in hands-on creativity with collaborative art-making, including a painting with Dave Eassa and participation in Kerry Soori McEachern’s ONENESS project. Plus, discover the Youth Art Prize Exhibition and take part in various art-making activities throughout the museum.
Celebrate the renewal of spring with art, culture, and community. This event is free and open to all.
Come early to join curator Parisa Majidy in learning about the artwork currently on view in Prelude to Resonance (Week Four: Private Visions), and her work championing Persian artists through Escondido-based nonprofit Parisa Projects. Majidy’s tour begins at 11:00 AM in Gallery One.
