Ermano Olmi?s Il Posto (The Job, 1961), is a touching and hilarious tale of one young man?s stumbling entrance into adulthood. When young Domenico (Sandro Panseri) ventures to Milan in search of employment, he finds himself on the bottom rung of the bureaucratic ladder of a huge, dehumanizing, corporate enterprise.
This film is part of The San Diego Italian Film Festival's "Italian Classic" film series.
