Sedotta e Abbandonata (Seduced and Abandoned, 1964), director Pietro Germi?s audacious follow-up to his earlier film, Divorce Italian Style. When his daughter (Stefania Sandrelli) is seduced by her sister's fianc?, Peppino (Aldo Puglisi), the enraged Don Vincenzo (Saro Urzi) sets out to salvage his family's honor.

This film is part of The San Diego Italian Film Festival's "Italian Classic" film series. Films in the series include: Il Generale della Rovere (1959), directed by Roberto Rossellini, Ermano Olmi?s Il Posto (The Job, 1961), Abbandonata (Seduced and Abandoned, 1964) and Federico Fellini?s Amarcord (1973). Each film in the series will have a special introduction by one of SDIFF?s film experts. The San Diego Italian Film Festival is a non-profit organization dedicated to sharing Italian culture through film with San Diego audiences. In Italian with English subtitles.

Admission: $7.50 for general audiences, reduced prices for seniors and students.
