Bushido is defined as a unique philosophy that spread through the Muromachi period. It is the code of moral principles which the samurai were required or instructed to observe, typified by the Seven Virtues: Rectitude, Courage, Benevolence, Respect, Honesty, Honor and Loyalty. Those who practice this art today find their lives changed as they learn things about themselves.
