James Williams sensei and members of Namiryu Aiki Heiho will be demonstrating tameshigiri, kenjutsu, iaijutsu, aiki, and jujutsu at the Japanese Friendship Gardens. Target cutting, sword use, sword drawing, and the unarmed application of the Samurai martial arts are studied at the Dojo of the Four Winds in Encinitas.
Collaborating with the Japanese Friendship Garden in Balboa Park, practitioners of Nami ryu from the Dojo of the Four Winds are excited to provide a new series of demonstrations at the park, and support the Garden's mission to provide educational programs that encourage understanding of the Japanese heritage among people of diverse ethnic backgrounds and cultures."
