Dayan is a cat cartoon character. (To see more, web search "Akiko Ikeda.") Kiri-e is the art of Japanese paper cutting. Some kiri-e requires the same cutting techniques used for paper snowflakes. For this kiri-e project, we will use the flat technique, with no folding. This kiri-e of Dayan will be framed as soon as you finish cutting it in class. Participants must wear closed-toe shoes for safety. Please bring lunch.
