Now in its sixth year at Museum of Photographic Arts, the San Diego Italian Film Festival has grown into an amazing conduit to enjoy Italian culture. In its entirety, the San Diego Italian Film Festival runs from October 26 through November 11, and features 17 spectacular Italian movies that evoke laughter, tears, and passion.
Tonight, the San Diego Italian Film Festival presents Il Caimano (2006), an Italian comedy-drama film directed by Nanni Moretti and starring Silvio Orlando and Margherita Buy. Focusing on Silvio Berlusconi's vicissitudes, it was released just before the beginning of the 2006 elections, in which Berlusconi lost. It was one of the most successful films of 2006 in Italy. It was entered into the 2006 Cannes Film Festival.
