Now in its sixth year at Museum of Photographic Arts, the San Diego Italian Film Festival has grown into an amazing conduit to enjoy Italian culture. In its entirety, the San Diego Italian Film Festival runs from October 26 through November 11, and features 17 spectacular Italian movies that evoke laughter, tears, and passion.
Tonight, the San Diego Italian Film Festival presents Terraferma (Dry Land) (2011), an Italian drama film directed by Emanuele Crialese. The film premiered at the 68th Venice International Film Festival. The film was selected as the Italian entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 84th Academy Awards, but it did not make the final shortlist.
