The annual passing of Day of the Dead calls for a visit to Puerta Blanca, Tijuana?s oldest cemetery and the resting place of the its unofficial folk saint, Juan Soldado. A historian will be on hand to tell his controversial tale. Afterward is a botanica hop, followed by mole pizza at El Taller, TJ?s house of gourmet pies. The day ends at Panteon del Taurino (The Bullfighter?s Cemetery), a surreal dive forgotten by time. Space is limited so prepaying is a must.
