The Museum of Contemporary Art is bringing back their art-enfused field trip to Tijuana. Grab your passport and join them for an expedition into Tijuana?s diverse and vibrant art scene. On the agenda: an artist studio visit, a curator-led tour of El Centro Cultural Tijuana (CECUT), and lunch at Chef Miguel Angel Guerrero?s restaurant El Taller?housed in a converted warehouse with a corrugated tin ceiling. The field trip end in the afternoon with a cerveza (beer) at the Pasaje Rodr?guez, a covered alley built 64 years ago where two dozen painters, photographers, performance artists, and graphic designers have transformed small storefronts into studios and galleries. Derrik Chinn of Turista Libre will join the group for some ?man on the ground? local input and perspective.
