A hit at the 2010 European Union Film Festival, this hilarious film is based on a true story. Nello is a trade unionist in Milan whose ideas are ahead of his time. Because of his reputation as a troublemaker, he is dismissed and is sent to run a cooperative of over-medicated, under-stimulated mentally ill patients released after the closure of psychiatric hospitals. Nello believes that all work organized with respect is a gift and that all workers can be creative.
Against all odds, the stubborn and passionate Nello manages to bring out the best in his new employees and to restore their dignity as they become specialists in ?mosaic parquet?, an innovative and profitable business that helps them reintegrate into society. A soulful, funny and moving modern fairy tale.
