The Digital Gym Cinema & Global Film Initiative co-present a film festival of 11 films from around the world! Global Lens 2013. The festival is a series of feature films from Mexico, Iraq, China, Egypt, Chile, Serbia, India, Brazil, South Africa, Kazakhstan & Iran selected for their authentic voice, strong cinematic & unique cultural perspectives, opening a window into the diverse world in which we live.
Max and Mona (South Africa)
Max Bua, 19, from a South African farm community, has inherited his grandfather?s talent for mourning. Despite this gift, Max has his sights set on becoming a doctor and must travel to Johannesburg to begin his studies, but arrives too late to register and secure his room. Now he must seek out his infamous Uncle Normal in this slapstick comedy about a young boy?s coming of age and his wild adventure.
