The premier Day of the Dead event in San Diego County, Old Town San Diego's D?a de los Muertos, is designed to celebrate the history, culture, and heritage of the region. This event celebrates the unity of life and death, considered by many to be the most important holiday of the year in Mexico and other Latin American countries, although it is observed in Portugal, Spain, Philippines, Italy, France, Poland, Slovakia, Lithuania, Croatia, Austria and Germany, just to name a few! D?a de los Muertos is a very special time, when once a year, the spirits of loved ones who have died return to earth to celebrate this holiday with friends and family.

This event is produced by Save Our Heritage Organization (SOHO). Please note this event is not a street fair.
