The Samahan Filipino American Performing Arts and Education Center, Inc. will present their 38th Annual Concert of Philippine Dances and Music.
The general public is invited to watch the annual presentation by the SAMAHAN performers as a tribute to the magnificent legacy of Philippine culture and tradition bestowed by the late Dr. Lolita Di?oso Carter to the Filipino American youth of San Diego. The annual concert commemorates Dr. Carter, SAMAHAN?s Founder and Executive Director, who passed away on July 25, 2011. The two-hour program of popular Filipino folk dances choreographed for theater performance by Artistic Director, Ruby Pearl B. Chiong, will showcase SAMAHAN's rich repertoire in vivid and colorful costumes.
