A Native Californian Holiday Feast

Uncategorized Download To My Calendar
It's time to honor the seasons and celebrate like our ancestors did - California style! Inspired by the series "Cooking Through California's History", this class is a sneak peak into local eating habits of Native tribes with Spanish- colonial influences.

We will learn about the legend of the Three Sisters and how those companion plants work together to nourish our earth and body. We will honor the state bird of California by roasting quail, and explore rustic techniques as we make Indian corn cakes.

This will be a feast to remember - and replicate!
