Contra dancing is a form of American folk dance which is taught and called to live traditional Irish and American jigs, reels and other such music. It?s a family friendly, social interactive dance form, and is lots of fun. No partners or experience are necessary.
There is a free half hour dance workshop at 7:30, dancing starts at 8 pm. Calling by JoAnn Koppany, live music by The More the Merrier Community Band. Break for refreshments at 9:30 PM
Please wear soft-soled shoes to protect the dance floor and comfortable clothing, as dancing is quite aerobic. Discounts for teens and children. Half price for students, full time college students and active duty military with current ID's.
