Compagnie K?fig?s debut performance with ArtPower! is destined to become an audience hit. Under the direction of French-Algerian choreographer Mourad Merzouki, the all-male ensemble has become an international sensation, performing full-throttle, sold-out shows to audiences throughout the world. Inspired by the stories of eleven young dancers from the favelas of Brazil who would later become the principle members of his company, Mourad created Correria and Agwa, two heart-stopping works that blend hip-hop, martial arts, and contemporary dance with an energetic soundtrack of samba and bossa nova music. Bursting with fun, humor, and vitality, this show is a celebration of life and dance.
