As part of Black History Month, the library will present An Evening Honoring Nelson Mandela. The event will begin with a screening of the documentary Amandla: A Revolution in Four-Part Harmony. The film pays tribute to the role played by protest songs in the nonviolent revolution that brought an end to apartheid. Noma Burkhardt, a native of Soweto, South Africa, will facilitate a discussion following the film.
