Burundi Friends International (BFI), a local San Diego-based, 100% volunteer-powered organization, invites you to a special evening of education, inspiration, and entertainment in support of our current projects in Burundi in the fields of education, health, and entrepreneurship.
Burundi, a small, relatively unknown country located in the very Heart of Africa, is the 3rd poorest nation on the planet. Approximately 80% of Burundi's approximate 10 million people live under the poverty line, with almost 60% of children suffering from chronic malnutrition. Despite their daily hardships, Burundians are a friendly and proud people, with a strong hardworking drive to better themselves and their local communities.
Join us on Saturday evening, for a cross-cultural evening of music and dance, and find out more about how BFI's projects are empowering Burundians to help themselves. We are welcoming new volunteers to join our team!
