For the first time, local favorites Joshua White (piano) and Peter Sprague (guitar) join forces as co-leaders to create an evening of instrumental works, joined by band members Ben Schachter (tenor sax), Hamilton Price (bass), and Dan Schnelle (drums). A powerful, energetic opening set of music is provided by The Daniel Rosenboom Quintet. Rosenboom is an LA-based trumpeter, composer, and producer, recently named the "Face To Watch in Jazz" by the Los Angeles Times. The Daniel Rosenboom Quintet brings together some of the most distinctive instrumental voices in the LA Jazz scene. Drawing from a wide range of styles including jazz, rock, grunge, and metal, with nods to New Orleans street music, Balkan-style dance rhythms and Indian modes, this band rocks!
