Lecture: Law Development in the Balkans

Uncategorized Download To My Calendar
For millennia, the Balkan Peninsula has seen wave after wave of foreign domination and conquest. Most of these waves left religious, cultural and political representatives and institutions, some in well defined geographic areas, others scattered around the region. Struggles for domination among these representatives have left a strong legacy of suspicion, mistrust, and even hatred. The lecture will attempt to provide a simplified overview of this history, bringing us up to about the year 2000.
