SDSU Powwow and Bird Gathering

The Annual SDSU Powwow and Bird Gathering, hosted by the San Diego State University Native American Student Alliance, is planned for April 4-6.

The 2nd Annual SDSU Bird Gathering will be held on Friday, April 4 (5:30 PM to 10 PM), and will feature bird singing by the San Pasqual Singers and the Viejas Asha Takuk Singers, as well as open bird singing and dancing.

The 43rd Annual Lipay Tipay Mateyum Powwow will take place on Saturday, April 5 (10:00 AM to 10 PM) and Sunday, April 6 (10:00 AM to 5:00 PM).

The Powwow will include Native American dancing and singing competitions, arts and crafts booths, and traditional food booths. These events are free and open to the public, and will be held on campus, on the Campanile Walkway behind Love Library. Parking is available in Parking Structure 4 ($1 per hour).
