La Boh?me is an opera in four acts, composed by Giacomo Puccini to an Italian libretto by Luigi Illica and Giuseppe Giacosa, based on Sc?nes de la vie de boh?me by Henri Murger. Join San Diego Opera for their 50th anniversary as they journey back to the first opera they ever produced in 1965, La boh?me, where they will traverse the lives of a band of Bohemian friends and a love affair between a young poet and his mistress whose love is so intense it is unbearable to be apart, yet impossible to be together. Pre-opera lecture
