Tango Popular? covers all bases with sultry music, evocative dance, a cool venue, and new PopUp community-style dinner brought to you by Waters Fine Catering. The Tango Popular? program line-up features French and Argentinian tango ranging from world-renown tangos to an exciting Camarada premiere. Astor Pantale?n Piazzolla was an Argentine tango composer and bandoneon player whose oeuvre revolutionized the traditional tango into a new style termed nuevo tango, incorporating elements from jazz and classical music. For many Argentinians, the original tango composer Carlos Gardel?s music embodies the soul of the tango style. Join the Camarada artists, including Grammy Award-winning Sacha Boutros, and dress the part to pay homage the Gardel style?transport to Casablanca 1930?s! From the traditional Tango Uno by Carlos Gardel, to accordion virtuoso Louis Fanucchi?s newest composition Ecstasi, this is an evening not to be missed!
