Rare Soviet historical posters from the period of Perestroika and Glasnost are featured alongside new works created by contemporary artists, designers, and illustrators. Like their historical counterparts, the contemporary works feature political, social, and arts themes and include Soviet references.
This opening will be held City Gallery at San Diego City College, AH314. The event will feature Russian historical characters in costume, on-site silkscreening, a dance performance, and more.
