Charles Hostler Institute on World Affairs presents: Ambassador Mark G. Hambley.

Ambassador Hambley currently works as a special counsel to the CEO of Apollo International, Inc. on a full range of international matters. A native of Idaho, he entered the U.S. Foreign Service in 1971 with an initial posting to Vietnam.

During over 35 years, he visited 167 countries and worked as the U.S. Envoy to the UN Commission on Sustainable Development, serving concurrently as the U.S. Special Negotiator for Climate Change.

His bilateral assignments included 12 postings in the Middle East, including as Ambassador to Qatar and to Lebanon and as Consul General in Alexandria, Egypt, and in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
