Polonez Dance Company is a Polish folk ensemble that performs traditional dances using the original folk music. Through the unique presentation of regional, handmade costumes and rich expression, dancers bring to the stage the new meaning of folk spirit, heritage, beauty of color and pure energy. Polonez Dance Company was founded in1989 by the Artistic Director, Ewa Chrzanowski: she discovered her passion for Polish folk dance when she was a member of Krakowiaki Dance Ensemble in San Antonio, Texas. The International Festival in El Cajon was one of the first locally recognized cultural events where Polonez Dance Company was invited to perform. It turned out to be a tremendous success.
