Co-sponsored by The California Endowment, MidCity CAN, The Unity Council and Homies Unidos among others, Placas: The Most Dangerous Tattoo is a powerful play commissioned by the San Francisco International Arts Festival and four nationally respected Latino Arts organizations through the National Performance Network. Placas was developed as a pro-active community response to the issue of transnational community violence and the current anti-immigration environment.

Paul S. Flores has created this vibrant bilingual story of fathers and sons struggling to come together in redemption and Fausto?s determination to reunite his family after surviving El Salvador?s civil war, deportation, prison and street violence.

In addition to presenting Placas in San Diego, Flores is setting up outreach projectsand workshops with local youth to help them.

In collaboration with The Jacobs Center, Teatro Izcalli and The National Compadres Network, Flores will co-facilitate healing circles with City Heights youth who have been impacted by violence and immigration.
