The annual Cultural Extravaganza is celebrating its 35th year! Over 30 different cultures will present popular dishes, desserts, and beverages; dress in traditional costumes; display arts and crafts; and provide music, dance, and other performances throughout the day on the central lawn stage.
At the same time Spreckels Organ Society will be hosting a marathon organ concert. These concerts will be augmented with guest artists and other performance elements and will be webcast live. Among the highlights will be a commissioned work for the organ from a leading composer and the coordinated playing of the Spreckels Organ with the Ona May Lowe Carillon in the California Tower on select occasions.
