As part of the Center for World Music's Summer Music Series, the Gallowglass Collective will perform. Named for the Scottish Norse-Gaelic warrior clans that settled in Ireland, the Gallowglass Collective plays mainly Irish traditional music mixed with some Scottish trad and music from the Anglo-Scottish border country. The group is made up predominantly of fiddlers, but there will also be song, Irish flute, and Scottish pipes.
