The exhibition's opening reception will feature a curator?s talk with Ignacio Vazquez Paravano, visiting from the Museum of Memory and Tolerance in Mexico City.
Maletas Migrantes is an exhibition of 50 suitcases made by 50 contemporary artists based in Mexico. The showcase offers a space for visual exploration which draws attention to the contradictions, belongings, negotiations, and dialogues present in the geographic and emotional crossing of migrants.
