Festival-goers will enjoy a weekend of music, decor, Mexican cuisine, and genuine Latin American folk art. Visitors will find hand-crafted artisan jewelry, Mexican clothing, and collectibles by artists from a wide array of Latin American countries. Artists will provide live demonstrations of their crafts, including carving animals out of wooden stumps and painting intricate designs into hand-made clay pots.
Tinku, a Latin American folk band, will play a diverse mix of musical rhythms on native instruments. The festival also features an exhibition of San Diego?s largest collection of genuine Mata Ortiz Pottery, a centuries-old art form famous for its intricate detail and hand-crafted geometric and ancestral symbols.
