Powwow at Barona

45th Annual Barona Powwow, a three-day celebration on the Barona Indian Reservation over Labor Day weekend.

Starting on Friday, September 4, with traditional gourd dancing at 6:00 PM and a grand entry at 7:00 PM, the powwow continues throughout the weekend on Saturday and Sunday from 1:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Over 1000 Native Americans from across the country will showcase traditional tribal dancing as they compete for over $75,000 in prize money.

With a hand drum contest, music, singing, traditional food including Indian fry bread and Indian tacos, and handcrafted Native American jewelry.

At the Barona Sport Park located just one mile north of the Barona Resort & Casino on Wildcat Canyon Road in Lakeside. Free shuttle service available from Barona Resort & Casino to the powwow.
