A steampunk and neo-Victoriana Convention weekend filled with workshops, vendors, presentations, fashion shows, a 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea Tribute and Maker Room, and the Saturday Night Airship Governor's Ball with live music.
This year Gaslight Goes to the Cinema celebrates the many films and television shows that have inspired steampunk.
Guests include authors Harry Turtledove and Tim Powers, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea Nautilus expert Scott Brodeen, and local Maker Bob Mogg. Chrildren under 12 are free with a paid adult.
What is steampunk, you ask? It's a blend of Victorian inspired clothing and technology with a bit of science fiction and fantasy. Think airships, goggles, jet packs, corsets, top hats, and parasols.
