The La Mesa Village Merchants Association started this event 42 years ago. Billed as the biggest Oktoberfest west of the Mississippi, the fest has gone from a small street fair to a 3-day festival with 250 vendors offering goods and services to over 200,000 attendees. With food, entertainment, and of course German brats, pretzels, and beer.
