In this provocative new play, Rene, an African American corrections officer, helps sister Cerise and niece Gwen get jobs at a detention center for illegal immigrants waiting to be deported. But when Gwen begins to feel more empathy for the detainees, she finds herself at odds with the detention center?s rules against fraternization and issues of race, class, and immigration are hit head-on.
